Fousion Gallery Barcelona proudly present the » 2 Car Cortex » solo show by London based artist Will Barras, from 21st of September until the 25th of October 2017 at Carrer de la Carassa 4, 08003 Barcelona.
The exhibition comprises of two co-existing bodies of work. One room contains subtle Watercolour, gouache and indian ink paintings on hotpress watercolour paper. The second room contains a series of canvases . He created a series of semi abstract paintings titled « Convoi Exceptionnel » work chronicling the artists journey from the 2 car garage of his childhood through to the terraced rooftop of the gallery where this exhibition resides .
The Exhibition shows the diversity of his style and process marking the journey maintained through his last 20 years of creation.
Will Barras is an artist and illustrator who lives and creates in London.
Barras grew up in Birmingham and moved to Bristol to study graphic design. He became one of a new crop of young artists working in Bristol’s renowned street-art scene. He was a founding member of the Scrawl collective, alongside Steff Plaetz and Mr. Jago, thanks to his representations of fluid movement, unique narrative-driven composition, and line work. Scrawl published a seminal book in 1999 to document the new movement. Later he formed part of the « Wizard Kings » beside SheOne, Otwo, Mr. Jago, Stendec, Andrea Riot and others. As such, Barras traveled extensively, live-painting and exhibiting pieces throughout Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
